Venesky-Brown Recruitment Secure a place on Scottish Government Frameworks

Venesky-Brown Recruitment is delighted to announce their appointment to two of the Scottish Governments latest Staff Services Frameworks.

The Frameworks involve the sourcing and provision of interim staff services in the IT Services sector and Professional Services sector from 13th April 2019 to 12th April 2023, for Public Sector Bodies in Scotland.

Four contractors have been appointed to each of these Frameworks, with Venesky-Brown fighting off strong competition to win their place. These Frameworks are two of the largest interim staff services frameworks in Scotland and cover central and local government, the NHS, higher and further education institutions, and other public bodies.

Edinburgh based Venesky-Brown Recruitment was established in 2005 and initially focused on blue collar construction and civil engineering, however over the last few years they have diversified their activities moving into professional services and IT services.

Venesky-Brown engages with all sizes of clients from multinational businesses to SME’s throughout the UK and Ireland. This latest Government Framework project will enhance their expansion plans and strengthen Venesky-Brown’s position within the employment solutions industry over the coming years.

“We are looking forward to working closely with Framework Public Bodies throughout Scotland,” says Martin Cairns, Managing Director of Venesky-Brown Recruitment. “We hope our collaborative and proactive approach will bring success to all involved, by providing high-quality staff services and value for money and at the same time, supporting our candidates by placing them in the best-suited interim assignments within the Frameworks and giving them job satisfaction.”

Venesky-Brown Completes Tough Mudder 5k!

Venesky-Brown recently competed in the inaugural Tough Mudder 5km run in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh. On a lovely sunny day all 26 of us bolstered by contacts from our clients and onsite workers, completed the course and raised over £2,000 for our chosen charity of 2018 – Health in Mind.

Raising funds started off as our main aim but what became apparent to us was that raising awareness of Mental Health was equally if not more important.

Below is a link to a short YouTube video of our day, which was great fun and gives a few more facts regarding Mental Health. It is very entertaining and worth a look:

***Please note the video contains flashing images***

Five staff members from Venesky-Brown are taking part in the Forth Rail Bridge Abseil on the 21st October 2018.

Venesky-Brown Football Frenzy

Here at Venesky Brown we are mad about football, so last Month we ran a free to enter “World Cup Correct Score” competition for all of our 465 on site workers. We asked simply what the score would be in the World Cup Final.

With the majority of entrants going for a low scoring, narrow margin victory there were only 2 who guessed the correct score of France 4 v 2 Croatia. So thanks to Hugo Loris and his massive blunder, picking up the prizes were:

  • Jack Sullivan who is working for Venesky-Brown on our Manchester Airport project
  • Sean Anderson who is working on one of our Scottish Water sites in Glasgow

Congratulations to both Sean and Jack who won a £150 Amazon Voucher and beer of their choice. Enjoy!

We are now running a free to enter Fantasy Premier League competition. This is open to all Venesky Brown workers, clients and supply chain partners. With yearly and monthly prizes up for grabs get involved before 10th August KO. Click on the Link below:
